TURNING TOWARDS THE OLD AND THE ELDERLY

We are no doubt a developed Nation now and things have simultaneously changed a lot. The world is looking at us enviously and we too feel proud of our so called advancement in the fields of science and technology ,education ,industry ,economy and what not. Families with a higher living standard , greater comforts and increasing luxury present a glittering view of progress. The Malls, Multiplexes . roads and markets , railway stations and all public places are overcrowded . An OCEAN of people on the Earth is overflowing everyday .It seems as if we all are a moving and running RACE. The most interesting fact is that the World is a GLOBAL VILLAGE and time and distance have lost their meanings .Nations and societies have come closer. Why am I recounting these well known simple facts? Because the other side of this encouraging fact is that we have lost the treasure of a strong emotional bond which once strengthened the institution of a united FAMILY. We have achieved great heights at the cost of our ROOTS.

Our old people , parents or grand parents are left somewhere behind this fast moving world. The world has become small but these elderly people are lonely and desolate, desperate and helpless. They never ask for too much ,just a little attention and compassion ,love and care ,talking and listening to them can bring happiness and smile to their face . But isntis too expensive for us to spare time for these lonely old parents?

Giving birth to the children and bringing them up in a healthy way is not a joke. It demands many untold sacrifices and takes not a few days, hours or minutes. Years are spent by the parents in giving a shape to our life and future and most importantly they do it spontaneously ,happily and they are the persons who feel sad in our grief and glad in our pleasure.

The OLD AGE HOMES and some NGOs are taking care of these sick desperate people who wait for their children to come to them . Paying Bills of such organizations is easier than taking care of our sick parents………………

Really we have reached the Zenith of our progress where we exist only in the ALBUMS and sweet memories of our parents,

The tearful waiting eyes eagerly look up to every visitor with a hope of meeting the most awaited son or daughter who once happened to be their life and spirit but they never come.

The purpose of writing this blog is to remind us all about our pious duty towards our parents who are the driving force behind our progress We must realize that humanity and compassion stand higher We are no doubt a developed Nation now and things have simultaneously changed a lot. Let the OLD AGE HOMES exist and serve for those who are all alone in the world and not for people who are left to be alone .Let us all have a heart that feels and a brain that thinks not only for us but also for our dear parents/grandparents so that we remain ethically and morally truly developed .

EXPRESSIONS of love and care will make the society a place to cherish ……………………………….

  2. Prosperity and growth, mayhem and destruction are all the products of any nation’s education system. The system that creates leaders and slaves, visionaries and followers all at the same time or according to our assumption that system which is assumed to fulfill this purpose but like every tough decisions taken in this country the education system is also largely borrowed by pour rulers.

The primary pillars of our education system are age old wisdom of High IQ, top scores and the old adage ‘There is always lonely at the top.’ This system tells us everyone else in this world is our competitor and those who are not able to keep pace with life are nothing but an obstacle in the race to success and that include our parents also.

I don’t think I need to say anything else.

  3. I feel the only people who are whole heartedly supportive and really glad over our success in life and on reaching the top are our parents. They are neither an obstacle nor our competitor.............
It is true they their old age problems and they feel helpless. Civilisation where the parents become a burden get shattered homes, emotional insecurity and disintegrated relations leading to a progress with weak pillars..................
